State e-file and balance due payments summary

You can e-file resident and nonresident state 1041 returns for all states. All returns are e-filed with the state taxing authority through the IRS' Modernized e-file (MeF) platform.
E-filing is available for Massachusetts Form 2G for 5227 returns beginning with the tax year 2022. Consolidated Massachusetts Form 2G can't be E-Filed.
E-filing is available for New Jersey Form 1041 for 5227 returns and extensions beginning with the tax year 2022.
E-filing is available for Pennsylvania Form 1041 for 5227 returns and extensions beginning with the tax year 2023.
E-filing is available for original and amended 990 state returns. Currently, only California (Form 199) is available for e-filing. California Form 199 returns may have a tax due. Tax due amounts are shown in the St Tax Due-900 column for the base registers in the State Electronic Filing base category. California Form 199 payments can be made with the E-Filed return or can be submitted with a payment voucher, which is available as part of the California Form 199 return. Beginning with the tax year 2021, California Form 199 payment vouchers and can be printed from a register.
