Shipment tracking

You can track shipments in real time and locate exactly where they are after pickup.
With shipment tracking, you can track 2 things:
  • Customer shipment (CS)
: The full end-to-end shipment customers see.
  • Transport shipment (TS)
: Each transport leg a logistics service provider (LSP) handles.

Shipment states

Both CS and TS pages show 1 of 4 states:
Not started
:
We haven't received a qualifying progress event yet.
Started
:
The shipment's in progress, typically after pickup. It can also turn to start after events like departed, en route, or arrived (when a separate proof of delivery is used).
Delivered
:
The shipment arrived and completed. We register delivery by actual arrival or proof of delivery, depending on the carrier's update.
Delayed
:
  • Before ETA: The carrier sent a delay status for the last leg
  • After ETA: The shipment hasn't been delivered after its ETA

How we determine CS status

The CS aggregates progress primarily from the first and last legs:
  • Moves to
    Started
after the first leg picks up or progresses (for example, departed, en route, arrived)
  • Moves to
    Delivered
when the last leg delivers (based on arrival or proof of delivery updates, depending on how the carrier reports)
  • Becomes
    Delayed
if the carrier reports a delay for the last leg before ETA, or if the CS still hasn't delivered after the ETA passes
