Layout Designer

The Layout Designer lets you create, edit, save, and delete layouts that customize the presentation of your reports. Select
Preview
to view the report layout in a separate
Preview Layout
window. When you change settings in this window with the Preview Layout window open, the report will be updated as well, letting you immediately see the effect of your change.
There are 2 ways to open this window:
  • Select
    Reports
    , then
    Report Layouts
    .
  • Select
    File
    , then
    Print Reports
    , then
    Layouts.

Name
This field displays the name of the layout highlighted in the Available Layouts pane. Select
Add
or
Edit
to enable this field.
Preview button
Select this button to preview the layout that is highlighted in the list. The layout will appear in a separate Preview Layout window. When adding or editing a layout with the Preview Layout window open, you can see how changing layout properties affects the layout's appearance as changes are made.
The following are buttons and fields available in the Preview Layout window.
Print button
Select this button to print the layout to your default printer.
Zoom In button
Select this button to zoom in on the layout. The current zoom percentage is displayed in the
Zoom %
 field.
Zoom Out button
Select this button to zoom out on the layout. The current zoom percentage is displayed in the
Zoom %
 field.
Zoom %
This field displays the current zoom percentage. To view the report at a specific zoom percentage, enter a number in this field and press enter.
