Set up tax areas
The firm administrator (or staff member with security permission to add and edit firm information) should set up tax areas that represent state and local taxes by combining taxing authorities into a single entry. Set up taxing authorities before tax areas.
To set up a tax area:
- Go to .
- SelectAdd.
- Enter a unique description in theDescription.
- In the Taxing Authority information grid, use the dropdown list to select the taxing authorities. Enter 1 per line.
- SelectEnterto save your changes.
