Lacerte® organizer and engagement letter print settings for Gather

Use these guidelines to configure your Lacerte® organizer and engagement letter print settings for a successful upload to Gather. For information on how to prepare batch Gather requests, refer to Upload Batch Gather requests.
note
Follow these guidelines to ensure a successful upload.
  • Condensed organizers are not currently supported.
  • Use the
    File (PDF)
    option in
    Print Settings
    to print to PDF.
  • Don’t include any additional headers or footers.
  • Don’t customize the questionnaire. Use the
    Questionnaire Def.
    setting.
  • Don’t include engagement letters. Print them to a separate PDF.
Print engagement letters
To create a separate PDF for your engagement letters, print an organizer with all other pages suppressed.
Selecting clients for the engagement letters
  1. Go to
    Tools
    Organizer
    .
  2. Go to
    Print Paper Organizer
    and select
    Complete Organizers
    .
  3. Select clients from the
    Available Clients
    list, then
    Add
    . The selected clients appear in the
    Selected Clients
    list.
Configure organizer settings for engagement letters
  1. Select
    Organizer Settings...
    .
  2. Use
    Select All
    to select all the organizer pages.
  3. Select
    Suppress
    .
  4. Select
    Ok
    .
Configure complete organizer settings for engagement letters
  1. Select
    Print
    .
  2. Change the following document options:
    1. Select
      Slip Sheet Type
      , then
      Suppress
      .
    2. Select
      Client Letter
      , then
      Suppress
      .

      Engagement Letter
      , then
      Single Window Default

Print settings for engagement letters
  1. Clear the
    Printer
    checkbox.
  2. Mark the
    File (PDF)
    checkbox.
  3. (Optional) If a PDF window with instructions from Lacerte appears, select
    Ok
    .
  4. Select
    OK

  5. (Optional) If printing to a batch, change the file name to match the format
    Engagement Letter_<Client ID>
    .

Configure the default questionnaire for organizers
  1. Go to

    Organizer...

    in the left pane to expand it.
  3. Select
