The Share/Link option is not visible in the ellipsis menu.
You don't have the required permission. Contact your administrator to turn on Share/Stop Share or Link/Unlink permissions for your user role.
The Relink option appears grayed out.
Relink
requires Link permission. This appears only when a pending update exists (from template updates, roll forwards, or financial period reopenings). Verify your permissions and verify you've rolled forward the source financial period.
Changes to the source report element don't appear in the target.
Verify that the target financial period is open. OSR blocks updates when the target financial period is closed. Also verify a broken link indicator in the target financial period. If the link is broken, you'll need to
Relink
to restore it.
Bulk Share skipped some entities.
The skipped financial periods already contain a conflicting linked copy from a different source report element. Bulk Share never replaces existing linked copies. Review those entities individually and unlink the existing copy if needed, then run bulk share again.
The Download Center shows
Failed
status for transaction details for edits and bulk share operations.
When you link a source report element to a target entity, updates sync to the target only if the linked financial period remains open. If the target financial period closes, OSR blocks the update and marks it
Failed
. To apply the update, reopen the target financial period and select
Relink
. This applies to both individual edits and bulk share operations.
You can't reorder a shared or linked report element.
OSR doesn't permit reordering of shared report elements or their linked copies. Unlink the report element first, reorder it, then re-link it.
A broken link indicator appears in the target financial period.
The target financial period was rolled forward before the source. Roll forward the source financial period first, then use Relink in the target to restore the connection.
You need to use the
Share Report Element
across entities on different organization templates.
Yes, you can do this. The
Share Report Element
lets you maintain similar content across entities with different organization templates when coordinating a common template update isn't practical.
