Software update options

You can opt to download and install SurePrep application updates automatically or stay on a previous version of SurePrep software. Follow these steps to set update options.
  1. Select
    FileRoom
    , then
    Admin
    .
  2. Select
    Account Setup
    , then
    Installation & Updates
    .
  3. Under
    Select how SurePrep updates will download
    , select one of the following options:
    • Automatic Updates (Recommended)
      : Automatically downloads the latest version when it becomes available. This is selected by default.
    • Use selected version
      : Select the version to use. This applies to application files only. PBFX and data files will download as updated. Binders for Outsource and 1040SCANverify returns always open in the latest version at SurePrep Service Center.
  4. Select whether to notify the System Administrators when a new version is available. If you select this option, enter the email address of the System Administrator. The firm administrator will receive an email notification when a new version is released.
