IP Authentication Overview

IP authentication lets you restrict FileRoom access to specific computers. Only allowlisted IP addresses on the page will be able to sign in to FileRoom to use SPbinder, TaxCaddy, Review Wizard, Reviewer Dashboard. Setting IP restrictions can be useful if you don't want firm users logging in from unauthorized locations (for example, Home and Public Wi-Fi). IP authentication is not available by default.
To configure IP Authentication, go to
Admin
Account Setup
Security
IP Authentication
.
Select Admin, ACCOUNT SETUP, Security, then IP Authentication
note
Only users with permissions to access the
Security
tab will see the
Security
tab.
Once IP Authentication is enabled, users can only sign in from IP addresses locations approved by the firm. Users will see the following message when attempting to sign in from an unauthorized IP address location.
Access to SurePrep is not available from this location. Contact your firm's system administrator or contact SurePrep.Support@thomsonreuters.com for further assistance.
Warning that you are unable to access SurePrep from your location
