Troubleshoot: OCR not working for Calculator or FORMS in SPbinder

SPbinder's Calculator tool and the
FORMS
tab (Classic Leadsheets) let you OCR the text/amount directly from the document. Some users may experience issues when attempting to use the OCR in SPbinder's
Calculator
tool or
FORMS
tab. To troubleshoot this issue, we recommend contacting your IT team to follow the instructions in this article.
Follow the instructions in this article if the OCR tool in the Calculator is not working on your workstation:
  1. On your workstation, go to the folder where your SurePrep Program Files are downloaded (for example,
    C:\SurePrepLocalFiles
    - your path may vary based on your Account Admin settings).
  2. Next, go to
    [Program Files path]
    SPbinder
    x64
    (for example,
    C:\SurePrepLocalFiles\SPbinder\x64
    ).
  3. Select and copy all the DLL files except
    SQLite.Interop.dll
    .
  4. Go back to the
    SPbinder
    folder - [Program Files path], then
    SPbinder
    (for example,
    C:\SurePrepLocalFiles\SPbinder
    ).
  5. Paste all the DLL files in the
    SPbinder
    folder (except SQLite.Interop.dll).
  6. Next, go to the
    PDF2PNG
    folder (for example,
    C:\SurePrepLocalFiles\SPbinder\PDF2PNG
    ) and copy all the files.
  7. Go back to the
    SPbinder
    folder - [Program Files path], then
    SPbinder
    (for example,
    C:\SurePrepLocalFiles\SPbinder
    ) and paste all the new files you copied in the previous step.
  8. Close all SurePrep/SPbinder applications you have open.
  9. Open a binder and retry the OCR functionality in the Calculator tool. If the issue persists, contact SurePrep Support.
