Delete clients

You can delete clients if you're not currently connected to them.

Delete clients individually

  1. Select
    Administrative
    , then
    Client Management
    .
    Select Administrative then Client Management.
  2. Locate the client you want to delete. Make sure that the client's status is not
    Connected
    .
    Acceptable statuses for deletion
  3. Select the
    Menu
    ellipsis icon, then select
    Delete
    .
    Select Delete from menu
    To delete a
    Connected
    client, you need to first disconnect the client from your firm.
    Delete option unavailable due to Connected status.
  4. On the
    Confirm Delete
    window, select
    Yes
    to confirm.
    Select Yes to confirm deletion.
  5. Once you've deleted the client, you'll see a message verifying the change.
    Notification indicating that user has been deleted.

Delete clients in bulk

You can select and delete multiple clients at once or delete all eligible clients. The bulk delete option only deletes clients who are not
Connected
,
Offline
, or
Duplicate
.
  1. Select
    Administrative
    , then
    Client Management
    .
    Reverse alphabetize client first names
  2. Select
    MANAGE CLIENTS
    .
    Select the Manage Clients menu.
  3. Under the
    ADMINISTRATIVE
    category, select
    Delete Clients
    .
    Select Delete Clients from the Manage Clients menu.
  4. To delete clients in bulk, you'll need first to select the clients.
    Option 1:
    Select the checkbox next to each client to delete those clients.
    Select client profiles you'd like to delete.
    Option 2:
    To bulk select clients, select the 1st column header, and then select from the following options:
    • All Eligible
      Selects all eligible clients in your firm from all pages. However, if you are currently using filters and/or search then
      All Eligible
      (clients) will only apply to clients who are currently filtered/searched. If you need to perform the same action separately for a different set of clients then you'll need to wait for the 1st bulk operation to complete before initiating the same action for the 2nd set of clients. Requires Manage Bulk Action permission.
    • All Eligible on Page
      Selects all eligible clients on the current page.
      Select All Eligible on Page.
      Only users with
      Manage Bulk Action
      permission can use
      All Eligible
      to select all eligible clients in the firm. Users without permission will see an error notification when attempting to bulk delete all.
      Notification that Bulk Send permissions are required to perform this action.
    Client's can't be selected for bulk deletion if they have the following status:
    • Connected
    • Offline
    • Duplicate
  5. After you select the clients, a (blue) selection bar slides up from the bottom of the page.
    • Select
      DELETE CLIENT(S)
      to bulk delete all selected clients.
    • Select
      DESELECT ALL
      to cancel the bulk deletion and clear all selected clients.
    Select Delete Clients from the menu bar.
  6. When the
    DELETE CLIENT(S)
    window appears, select the
    I understand that continuing...
    checkbox and select
    CONTINUE
    to delete the selected clients. Select
    CANCEL
    if you'd like to return to
    Client Management
    .
    Select the acknowledgement checkbox.
  7. The process to delete the clients in bulk will be added to a queue. When you see the notification, select
    Refresh
    at any time to see if the queue has been initiated or completed.
    Notification that the bulk deletion was performed successfully.
