Client Info

View a client's account information when working within their profile. Using the
More Information
feature, you can view the information pertaining to a client's account (such as login method, email address, etc.) as well as view information regarding the tax return currently selected from the
TAX RETURN
dropdown.
Follow these steps to view a client's information: 
  1. Sign in to TaxCaddy.
  2. Select a client tile from the
    Overview
    screen.
  3. Select the
    More Information
    icon on your client's profile.
  4. Your client's account information will be listed under
    Client Info
    . Account information includes the following:
    Details
    Description
    Client login method
    Displays this client's login method:
    • Standard:
      This client logs in using a standard email address and a password they have set up.
    • Dynamic Password:
      This client logs in using an invitation email that sends a temporary password to their mobile phone number. If the client sets up a password, then their login method will change to
      Standard
      .
    • SSO:
      This client logs in through your firm's login portal.
    • N/A
      : This client does not have a login method available yet. If the client's status is
      Not Invited
      then send the client an invite. This information will update once the client logs in. Alternatively, the client is an Offline Client Profile made for clients that will not log in to use TaxCaddy. It also applies to client profiles that were originally made for Offline clients but have now become duplicate client profiles.
    Automatic Invitation Date
    For clients not yet connected to your firm. Displays the date that their automatic dynamic password invitation link was or will be sent.
    Automatic Invitation Date appears after the first pending request is added to a client's profile.
    Access Link Expiration
    Displays the date when the dynamic password invitation link will expire for the client. Clients can request a new login link using the
    Send me a New Login Link
     feature if desired.
    Email
    Displays the email address that the client uses to sign in to TaxCaddy.
    Phone Number
    Displays the phone number associated with this client's TaxCaddy account.
    A client's mobile phone number can be edited within
    Client Management
    using the
    Edit Client
    feature.
    Spouse
    Displays the name of this client's spouse, if applicable.
    Spouse Email
    Displays the email address of the client's spouse, if applicable.
    Spouse Phone number
    Displays the phone number of the client's spouse, if applicable.
    Location Restriction
    Indicates whether this client's account has Office Location restrictions placed on it by your firm.
    This record can be edited within
    Client Management
    using the
    Edit Client
    feature.
    Office Location
    Displays the office location to which this client currently belongs.
    This record can be edited within
    Client Management
    using the
    Edit Client
    feature.
  5. You'll also notice the
    Tax Return Info
    section after the
    Client Info
    section. This portion will return information about the tax return currently selected from the
    TAX RETURN
    dropdown. This information includes:
    Details
    Description
    Tax Return Name
    Displays the name of the selected tax return.
    Phase
    Indicates the current phase (
    Gather Tax Docs
    /
    Provide Info
    /
    Review and File
    ) of the selected tax return.
    Tax Software
    Displays the tax software associated with this client's tax return.
    Tax Client ID
    Displays this client's Tax Client ID.
    SP Client ID
    Displays this client's SurePrep Client ID.
    You can use the
    TAX RETURN
    dropdown menu to view information regarding a different tax return belonging to this client.
