Import saved or downloaded documents on your phone with TaxCaddy

You can upload documents that have been saved or downloaded to your phone by sharing them with TaxCaddy when viewing the documents.
note
You can also upload documents by taking a photo or uploading them from Google Drive or Dropbox.
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to upload a document you're viewing with the TaxCaddy iPhone mobile phone app.
  1. Open the document menu on your phone.
    note
    Accepted file formats include PDF, .docx, .xls and .xlsx. You can upload multiple files to the same category.
  2. Select the
    share
     button.
  3. elect
    Open with TaxCaddy
    . If you don't see
    Open with TaxCaddy
     on the list of available apps, select
    More
    .
  4. elect
    Open with TaxCaddy
    .
  5. Follow the prompts to categorize the document.
  6. TaxCaddy confirms your document was uploaded and the document is added to Uploaded Tax Documents.
Android mobile app
Follow these steps to upload a document you're viewing with the TaxCaddy Android mobile phone app.
  1. Open the document on your phone.
    note
    Accepted file formats include PDF, DOCX, XLS, and XLSX. You can upload multiple files to the same category.
  2. Select the
    Menu
     icon.
  3. elect
    Send file
    .
  4. On the app drawer, select
    TaxCaddy
    .
  5. Follow the prompts to categorize the document.
  6. TaxCaddy confirms your document was uploaded and the document is added to Uploaded Tax Documents.
