NetClient CS portal destination
Use the NetClient CS Portal Destination window in UltraTax CS to direct tax returns and organizers to the correct portal.
Use NetClient CS Portal Destination in UltraTax CS to confirm client's returns and organizers are going to the right portal, or to change the destination. To get there, select . Select the
that's next to the client ID you want to review.
NetClient CS Portal Destination
icon When the NetClient CS Portal Destination window opens, the title bar will include the client's name to help you identify which tax return you want to review. 

NetClient CS Portal Destination shows a list of all client portals in your firm. If the client is linked to any portals, they will show at the top of the list.
Refresh
will re-sync the list of portals with NetClient CS. note
When you send UltraTax CS returns or organizers to NetClient CS, it will create a new portal for your client if it isn't already linked to one. You don't need to create portals first in NetClient CS. Portals created from UltraTax CS are automatically linked.
Tax Return destination column
Use this column to select the portal you want to send the client's copy tax return to.
None
This indicates that the NetClient CS portal isn't linked to the corresponding UltraTax CS client. All portals are marked as
None
by default.Viewer
This indicates that the NetClient CS portal will receive a copy of the client's tax return once it's assembled and transmitted to NetClient CS. This portal can also receive an e-signature option to sign this return. A client can have as many portals designated as
Viewer
as you want. This selection is common for children's tax returns that you want to send to the parent's NetClient CS portal, or pass-through returns you want to send to all shareholders, partners, or beneficiaries.Owner
This indicates that the NetClient CS portal will receive a copy of the client's tax return once it's assembled and transmitted to NetClient CS. This portal can also receive an e-signature option to sign this return. It's the same permissions as the
Viewer
designation. The only difference between Owner
and Viewer
is that if you change the client's email address in UltraTax CS, the client's email address in NetClient CS will update automatically when the return is pushed to the portal.note

- Each portal can be theOwnerof only 1 tax return.
- If theOwnerselection is grayed out, then that portal is already theOwnerof another tax return.
Web Organizer destination
Mark the checkbox in the Web Org Destination column to select the portal you want to send the web organizer to.
Only 1 web organizer is allowed per portal, regardless if it's an individual or business organizer. If the checkbox is grayed out, that means a web organizer is already linked to the portal.
