Send returns to SafeSend

After connecting your SafeSend company to your UltraTax firm to enable SafeSend integration, send returns to SafeSend from UltraTax CS either via CS Connect (option 1) or automatically when printing the client copy (option 2).
After SafeSend integration is enabled, you can send returns from UltraTax CS to SafeSend either by assembling in the Print Returns dialog and transmitting via CS Connect (option 1) or by automatically delivering to SafeSend when printing the client copy (option 2).
Option 1 requires
Enable SafeSend Integration
 to be selected. Final delivery to SafeSend is completed separately using CS Connect.
Option 2 requires both
Enable SafeSend Integration
 and
When printing the return, automatically deliver client copy to SafeSend
 to be selected.
  1. Select
    Print
     from the toolbar, or go to
    File
    Print Returns
    .
  2. In the Print destinations section, select a hard copy printer (not a PDF printer or similar).
    note
    SafeSend may reject the return if you select a PDF printer or similar.
  3. To send multiple returns to SafeSend, select
    Clients
    , choose the clients, then select
    OK
    .
  4. Select the
    Client Copy
    .
  5. Select
    Electronic delivery
    , then
    SafeSend
    .
  6. Select
    Assemble
    .
    note
    Once complete, you'll get a confirmation with the number of tax returns successfully assembled.
  7. Choose a delivery method.
    • Option 1 (deliver using CS Connect):
      • Select
        CS Connect
         from the toolbar or
        Utilities
         menu.
      • Turn on
        Transmit returns to SafeSend
        .
      • On the
        SafeSend
         tab, double-click or use
        Select
         to choose the clients you want to send to SafeSend.
      • Select
        Connect
        .
    • Option 2 (automatic delivery):
      • The returns are delivered to SafeSend automatically after you select
        Assemble
        .
    note
    If you aren't connected to SafeSend, you will be prompted to enter your sign-in credentials before the returns are delivered.
