Colors used in UltraTax CS

Blue numbers in fields | ![]() | On data-entry screens, this is data that was transferred from another source, like:

Red italic numbers in fields or forms | ![]() | An amount was overridden. If it is on a form in Forms view it means it was manually entered. If it is on an input screen it means it was entered in a force field. |
Red "S" in statement fields | ![]() | There is data in the statement window. This is opposed to a black statement dialog button, which means there is no data entered there. |
Blue chevrons in the corner of fields | ![]() | This field had data in it last year. |
Red chevrons in the corner of fields | ![]() | Amounts that were overruled but not acknowledged by a preparer or staff member. |
Pink/purple lines in data entry folders and squares in input screen tabs. | ![]() ![]() | There is pending data from a client organizer you need to accept and import. |
Blue numbers in the Watch tab of the Diagnostics window | ![]() | This amount was frozen on the form and hasn't changed. |
