The Thomson Reuters Account upgrade for tax customers
This article will serve as a central resource for CS Professional Suite, NetFirm CS (including NetStaff CS and NetClient CS), GoFileRoom, and Engagement Manager customers upgrading from the legacy authentication process to a new simplified sign-in experience. We've worked hard to reduce the number of usernames and passwords you need to use our products. We encourage you and your firm’s administrators to visit this resource for up-to-date news and required action steps for a successful transition.

What is it
A Thomson Reuters Account gives all users, including staff and clients, a single account to access Thomson Reuters products. Using 1 email and password you can access products like CS Professional Suite, NetFirm CS (including NetStaff CS and NetClient CS), GoFileRoom, and Engagement Manager with the same account.
As a result of all Thomson Reuters products moving to a standard sign-in process, you might notice that your sign-in screens and other security options within the user interface have changed or no longer apply.
How can we prepare for the upcoming changes
- Download the Auth0 Guardian mobile App. The new Thomson Reuters Account is backed by the Auth0 Guardian mobile app. All users should download the Auth0 Guardian mobile app prior to the transition date. The app is free on the Apple App Store and on Google Play for Android.Federated SSO: If your firm has deployed Federated SSO for GoFileRoom, the Auth0 Guardian App is not a requirement for your staff users.
- Plan communications to your clients: It will be important to educate your clients that currently collaborate with your firm via NetClient CS. NetClient CS, Employee Self-Service, and NetClient CS ClientFlow will require two-factor authentication for their accounts as an extra level of security. We've prepared sample communications to help your clients so that they receive continued service:

- Download example messaging for clients that access NetClient CS and Onvio Client Center: NetClient and Onvio Client Center Communication Template. Our Migrating your NetClient account when you have an existing Onvio Client Center account video showcases the new experience for NetClient CS users who are already Onvio Client Center users.

- If you can sign in to Onvio or the Tax & Accounting Professionals Learning Center, you already have a Thomson Reuters Account.
- If you sign in to Onvio, two-factor authentication is already enabled on your Thomson Reuters Account, and there's nothing you need to do before the upgrade.
- If you only use your Thomson Reuters Account to sign in to the Tax & Accounting Professionals Learning Center, sign in to your Thomson Reuters Account and enable two-factor authentication.
- If you have a Thomson Reuters ID (TRID) account that you use to sign in to CS Professional Suite desktop applications, sign in to your Thomson Reuters Account using your TRID credentials and enable your new two-factor authentication method(s). You'll not be challenged for these two-factor authentication methods until after you've installed the new versions of the CS Professional Suite desktop applications.
- If you have a NetStaff CS account and use it to sign in to NetStaff CS or your CS Professional Suite desktop applications and you don't have a Thomson Reuters ID (TRID) account, you'll need to create a Thomson Reuters Account and enable two-factor authentication. You'll need to access netlinksolution.com on or after November 18 and go through the transition process for your NetStaff CS account. You'll need to enter the email address used in your Thomson Reuters Account when prompted to do so.
