- Amy Smith
Meet Our People
Amy grew up in the back yard of the Thomson Reuters Eagan campus. She used to ride her bike in the parking lot. As she entered her second year of college, she was asked to be a marketing intern. Amy was ecstatic because the people that worked at Thomson Reuters were so happy with their jobs and the work they did to improve the legal system, and she wanted to be a part of that.
Now, a day in the life of Amy involves lots of creativity and lots of high energy. From scanning our social media channels, press and news networks, to flying to locations to talk about new advertising campaigns and building out fun, engaging marketing campaigns that get our customers to love our products and love Thomson Reuters. So, in short – lots of meetings, music and creativity.
Opportunity motivates Amy. Since the day she started at Thomson Reuters 13 years ago, she feels that she has had so many opportunities to grow, from working in the creative department, to the government segment, to Westlaw China, to our law student market, she has had the opportunity to grow her industry and marketing skills and even move into a management role.
She loves being able to amplify the Thomson Reuters story: what she feels is a story of how we make the legal system better every single day. Amy feels that Thomson Reuters give justice to those who wouldn’t have it otherwise and contributes to the legal system around the world. Amy loves watching innovation in the legal market and being able to market the best legal story in the world.
