About financial and reporting periods

Periods are used in the system to specify a particular set of transactions made in a particular time period. This enables you to specify the financial period you're currently working in.
In addition to the usual financial periods, customizable periods can be specified for a particular report as follows:
  • Financial Periods
    - Define periods that transactional data's recorded into. This includes full transactional cost unit and audit lock data.
  • Reporting Periods
    - Define periods separately to financial and comparative periods, for management purposes.
