What if you could be informed about critical GoFileRoom activity the moment it happens—and trigger downstream processes automatically? Now available to all customers, GoFileRoom Events is a real-time notification system that keeps your applications informed about important activities that take place within GoFileRoom.

Introducing SafeSend Integration with GoFileRoom

SafeSend's July 26,2025 release includes a new Print to GoFileRoom enhancement, allowing users to transmit a single or multiple documents electronically signed by clients using SafeSend (e.g., 8879, etc.) to GoFileRoom with just one click.
If your firm is licensed for both products, be sure to take advantage of this easy to deploy and easy to use feature. This enhancement frees up time spent on an administrative task by automating what today is anywhere from a 5 to 15 clicks manual process per document.

Simplify your staff’s experience - Classic Search

We are very excited to announce a multi-year initiative to modernize the user interface (UI) of GoFileRoom. Thomson Reuters design teams are in the process of reviewing customer feedback, engaging our customers, and bring powerful new efficiencies to you. More details will be shared to help you prepare your staff for a revolutionized new look and feel. The GoFileRoom team is working to bring several new screens to you later in the year. Major benefits include:
  • Similar look and feel to other Thomson Reuters application when moving between products
  • Easier onboarding and intuitiveness
  • Maximizing your workspace: The legacy screens didn’t fully utilize modern monitor real estate. The new UI makes better use of horizontal and vertical space to surface key actions and information together, reducing scrolling and clicks so users can see more and do more on a single screen.
  • Accessibility features: Built-in accessibility improvements support users with disabilities and make everyday tasks easier for everyone. This not only boosts productivity and reduces fatigue, it also helps firms attract and retain a broader pool of qualified talent
  • Introduction of innovative features: the modernization of our UI allows us to introduce new features that were not feasible in the legacy application. These enhancements are designed to streamline workflows and enhance productivity, ensuring you stay ahead in a competitive landscape.
As a step toward this modernization, this release introduces the ability to deactivate the legacy Classic Search screen. Many firms asked for this option to simplify the UI for new staff and standardize how teams use GoFileRoom. Opting to remove Classic Search now can smooth your transition to the new UI and reduce retraining later, as Classic Search will be decommissioned in a future release.

How to opt-out your firm of Classic Search
Contact your GoFileRoom support team by phone at 800-968-0600. Be ready to confirm your firm name, admin contact, and preferred timing.

Route Workflow Notifications
We’ve made your workflow notifications clearer and easier on your inbox. When a workflow advances multiple steps at once, you’ll now receive a single email with a concise message such as “ID XXXX: workflow was routed (multiple steps advanced)” instead of multiple emails for each step.
WIP Detail (By User) Report
We’ve enhanced the WIP Detail (By User) report with new multi-select filters for Year and Engagement Type. These options let you quickly focus on the most relevant time periods and engagement categories, helping you tailor results to your needs and avoid sifting through out-of-scope historical data. As a bonus, more targeted filters also improve performance and reduce the chance of long load times. No action is required—just apply the new filters the next time you run the report.

API & Automation

New WorkflowSteps Endpoint
You can now retrieve all workflow step configurations for any drawer and service line via the new V1/workflow/GetWorkFlowSteps endpoint. It returns a complete view of your workflows—including those currently disabled (clearly labeled “[DISABLED]”)—so you can audit, document, or integrate workflow logic with confidence.
API refinements include:
  • Document History Count Accuracy
    - Resolved API response discrepancies where user document history counts weren't matching the web interface. The API now correctly returns accurate document counts that align with the specified date ranges.
  • Tracking Report Date Field Consistency
    - Fixed inconsistencies between LastUpdated and AssignedOn date fields in TrackingReportByDeliverable, ensuring both fields now display matching timestamps as expected.
  • Enhanced Date Range Support
    - Improved the V3 Tracking Report by Workflow endpoint with robust date range functionality. All three versions (V1, V2, V3) now provide consistent responses, with V2 and V3 supporting enhanced date filtering through "AssignedOnFrom" and "AssignedOnTo" parameters for more precise reporting control.
