AES Customs Defaults

The AES Customs Defaults screen serves as a hub for both consultation and creation of new declaration defaults. This feature is tailored to enhance efficiency by streamlining processes, reducing redundant data entry, and saving valuable time.
To access this screen, go to
Export
 and then select
AES Customs Defaults
.

Creating a New Default

1. Click
New
 located at the top right corner of the screen to create a new declaration default.
2. In the
Description
 field, name to the default profile you are creating.
3. In the
Applies By Default field
, select
Yes
 or
No
.
important
There can only be one
Yes
 default profile.
4. Fill in all the fields that you want to be prepopulated when creating a new declaration.
5. Click
Save
 to save the new default profile.
important
To learn more about the
Current
 and
Completed
 options, refer to Search Filters table of this guide.
The message “Successfully saved.” should appear on your screen.

Accessing Existing Default Profile

All created defaults can be accessed in the
Atlas Export 3.0.0
 screen in the
Find Declaration
 search box.

Applying Defaults

Automatically Applying Default Profile Declarations
The table below shows the procedures the system does whenever you apply a default.
Procedure
Description
System Check
Verifies if a default profile with the "Apply Default" flag set to 'Yes' exists.
System Mapping Default Profile
Automatically assigns the default profile to the declaration during creation.
System Populating Header Tabs
Populates all relevant details in the header tabs based on the associated default profile.
Handling Goods Items
Automatically fetches remaining details from the associated default profile if the HS Num of the declaration's goods items matches that in the profile.

There can only be one
Yes
 default profile.
When you choose not to apply a default
.
When
Apply Defaults
 is switched to
NO
, no details on the declaration will be pre-populated. You will need to manually enter all necessary details.

Editing an Existing Default

1. In the
AES Customs Defaults
 screen, select the desired default declaration from
Find Declaration
 search box.
2. Edit the necessary information.
3. Click
Save
 at the top right of the screen to save the changes.
