Use the practitioner PIN method for extension forms
Follow these steps to use a Practitioner PIN (personal identification number) to sign Form 4868 electronically and approve a direct debit for payment of a balance due.

You can't sign Form 2350 with a Practitioner PIN.
- SelectSetup,Office Configuration, theE-Filingtab, thenERO.
- Mark thePractitioner PIN Program filer (1040 Only)checkbox.
- Go to the PIN screen in the Electronic Filing folder.
- Enter theERO PIN.
- In the Form 4868/2350 Extension PIN Information section, enter theSignature dateandPIN authorization indicator.
- To enter the Taxpayer/Spouse PIN:
- If paying via electronic funds withdrawal (EFW), complete theTaxpayer/Spouse PIN - Extension electronic funds withdrawalfields.
- Otherwise, complete theTaxpayer/Spouse PINfields on the PIN screen.
