Improved efficiency and less sign in prompts in the Office Client Add-in
When signing into the AdvanceFlow application within your web browser, the AdvanceFlow Link application will be launched automatically, which will establish the session for the AdvanceFlow Add-ins within Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. This will simplify your workflow by eliminating the need to sign in separately to the AdvanceFlow Add-in. In practice, this improvement lets you insert formulas and recalculate in the AdvanceFlow Add-in without entering your username and password again.
Install the latest version of AdvanceFlow Link (Version 24.1.0.0) from the
Downloads
page in AdvanceFlow. Then, sign out and sign back into the application and select Open AdvanceFlow Link
on the Chrome security window after signing in. Then, you will be able to recalculate and insert formulas into your Word and Excel documents without an additional sign-in screen.Optionally, install the 23.7 version of the AdvanceFlow Client Office Add-ins from the
Setup
, then Downloads
page. This version of the office add-ins removes the sign-in window and open AdvanceFlow in your default web browser on your computer instead. This 23.7.0 version of the Office Add-ins requires that the 24.1.0.0 of AdvanceFlow Link be installed and the user has selected the Open AdvanceFlow Link
button in the window mentioned earlier.Journal entry sorting and filtering options are saved
On the
Journal Entries
tab of an engagement, the list of journal entries can be sorted by any column. If you leave the journal entries screen and return, the sorting will be saved. The sorting and filtering are saved for the journal entries screen for a specific user across all engagements.Issues resolved
- When switching pages on a divisional trial balance, sometimes the division filter would be lost.
- In some cases when the current trial balance view is filtered to a division, when exporting the trial balance to Excel, the division filter would be ignored, and all trial balance accounts would be included in the export file.
- The faster upload speed of documents larger than 95 MB, which was introduced in the previous update, is restored. This faster upload speed feature was turned off temporarily to avoid an issue replacing documents. The issue with replacing documents is now resolved with the upload improvement enabled now.
- We've addressed an issue editing users in the Manage Users screen when the count of users matches the total number of allowed AdvanceFlow seats.
