Manage users directly in AdvanceFlow

In the new
Manage Users
screen within AdvanceFlow you can now add a new user without accessing GoFileRoom’s administration.
This new feature also includes these capabilities:
  • Options to
    Delete
    multiple users at a time.
  • Ability to
    Disable
    a user.
  • Selections to
    Reactivate
    a disabled account from the actions menu in the grid.
  • Make a user a GoFileRoom administrator.
  • Assign a GoFileRoom Security group with Clients in the name when editing a user.
  • Assign an AdvanceFlow permission group while editing a user.

Filter and perform bulk actions on notifications

From the notifications panel in the new layout, you can now filter the notifications list by the type, the date, or the client. A new filter button is available to view only unread notifications. There is a new select mode where you can select one or more alerts and mark them as read or delete the alerts quickly. There is also the option to
Mark All as Read
or
Delete All
notifications, which will only impact the notifications visible under the currently applied filter.

Better awareness of new notifications

In the new layout, the bell icon will display a blue circle when there are new notifications that have been triggered since the last time you opened the notifications panel. Upon opening the notifications panel, you can see the count of unread alerts on the Unread button near the top.

Manage columns button added to the Engagements dashboard

In the new Engagements dashboard, a Manage columns button has been added to the toolbar. Selecting this button open a drawer that lets you show and hide columns easily, or change the column order. This enhancement will make adding and hiding columns and changing the order easier to use and keyboard accessible.

Upload of large documents is faster

We improved the upload speed of documents larger than 95 MB. This decreases the time to upload these larger documents by approximately 50%.

Tax code report by property code

If you generate the Tax Code report with the format set as Code Summary with Account Detail, or Subcode Summary with Account Detail, you will be able to see the subtotals included for each property code on the report.

Automatic due date reminders for client communications

We recommend you set up reminder emails to be sent to your clients for document requests as the due date approaches. Automatic email reminders can be set up to remind your clients to upload documents to their requests according to your customized schedule. The number of days before a due date can be set for all engagements or specific to a certain request.

Changed menu option from Delete to Move to recycle bin

In the interest of making permissions more consistent, users with the permission to Move workpapers will be able to move items into the recycle bin. The delete menu option in both the right click menu and the manage menu in the toolbar have been renamed to “Move to Recycle Bin” when a workpaper is selected that is not in the recycle bin. The “Permanently delete” and “Empty Recycle bin” actions are still linked to the Delete workpaper permission.

Issues resolved

  • When copying and pasting a Checkpoint Tools document from 1 engagement (or template) to another, the pasted document will be properly replaced from Checkpoint Tools after the rollforward.
  • In the Manage signers screen, on the confirmation tab of an engagement, the list of signers will be immediately updated when a specific signer is changed.
  • There will no longer be an error message when attempting to change the user assignment on a document from the workpaper properties screen.
  • Unassigned accounts are restored to the bottom of Custom Excel documents without being linked to the option to include unassigned codes.
  • When exporting a report to excel, the workpaper reference column is formatted as text in excel instead of general to keep the proper text of the workpaper reference intact.
  • The exported data from the trial balance of an engagement can now be imported immediately back in to another engagement without needing to open the document in Excel and save it.
  • It is no longer possible to use
    Account Classification
    or
    Type
    as the description of an account grouping.
  • The Manage TR account option in the user profile menu is now spelled properly for United Kingdom users.
  • The user profile menu can now be read by a screen reader for the visually impaired.
  • The left navigation in the new layout is now properly set up as a menu with list items for a screen reader application.
  • When refreshing the workpapers grid, multiple selections are now retained.
  • The spreadsheet import of tax subcodes now has a proper limit of 50 characters for the description in the diagnostics.
  • The engagement properties option in the left navigation in the new layout is now accessible using keyboard navigation.
  • When a rollforward, copy, or send to PDF process is in progress in the new layout, the breadcrumb is now visible to help determine which engagement is being locked.
  • The toolbar on the notes list of the engagement no longer visually displays over the breadcrumb menu when the breadcrumb menu is activated.
  • The GoFileRoom release on December 18 will resolve an issue signing into AdvanceFlow when IP restrictions are set in GoFileRoom.
