Tools

Cost Basis Plus offers three distinct functions that can be accessed from the Tools screen.
  • Cost basis database
    : search the entire Cost Basis database for corporate actions with tax consequences.
  • Dividends database
    : search Dividends database for equity and mutual fund dividends.
  • Cost basis calculator
    : compute cost basis and number of shares of a security.

Coverage

Cost Basis Plus includes data on:
  • U.S. Tax Information for U.S./Canadian Equities
    : tax information, along with the relevant cost basis allocation factors and market values for U.S./Canadian equities
  • American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and Foreign Securities
    : tax information, along with the relevant cost basis allocation factors and market values for ADRs traded on U.S. exchanges.
  • Fixed Income Securities
    : all announcement types.
  • Mutual Funds
    : generally limited to cash distributions and merger announcements.
  • Corporate event types
    : covers conversions, distribution, merger, recapitalization, stock split, and more.
