Article page enhancements

  • For the minority of articles that have a PDF version available, we added the ability to download the PDF version at the click of a button.
  • Fixed an issue where links sometimes didn't work on topic list pages.
    note
This happened when conditions were applied to links to non-DITA files (PDFs or web links).
  • We updated the back-end values for integration with our video hosting platform, so we can embed the correct videos in article pages.

Browse micro experience

  • We changed the "Go to the index" button to say "Browse all content" and moved it to be next to the search bar.
  • We addressed an issue with certain topic list pages that were not showing correctly in the browse experience.

Findability enhancements

  • We added ability to post announcements across the Help and Support platform, so we can give you important, relevant information without you needing to go find that information.
  • We fixed an issue with internal agent authentication where after sign in, you were taken to the gateway page for your region rather than the page you were trying to access in the first place.
  • We removed some back-end pages from search that don't contain any help content, just hold some functionality for the platform.

Authoring enhancements

  • We can now hide links from topic list pages. This keeps the topic list relevant, but also allows us to provide links to related content on the article pages.
    note
Authors: This is accomplished by putting the deliveryTarget attribute on the topicref with a value of "none".
  • Our developer team built some custom reports to help the authoring team identify groups of articles. This means we can get updates to content out faster, and the authoring team gains efficiency by not having to go through all articles.
  • On a previous release, we made a variety of components available for use on our product home pages. One of them was overwritten at that time, and now it's available again.

File download micro experience

We made the font size larger in the file download experience tables so it's easier to read.

In-product experience (IPX)

  • We built IPX for additional Virtual Office CS audiences and are working with product team on a release date.
  • We added the ability to customize the search functionality without needing a code change, so we can address problems with search configuration more quickly.

Saffronizing our experience

We continue our trek in aligning with our Saffron design system. In this release, we updated our "More support" area with Saffron styling.
note
Saffron's a system of design standards and reusable elements to help us build user experiences that look, feel, and behave more consistently. This helps Thomson Reuters look unified across our digital experiences and products.
