These are exciting times at Thomson Reuters in Canada! Our Legal, Tax & Accounting, and Enterprise Technology & Operations divisions, are expanding to meet the needs of an expanding Canadian economy. We have three offices in Toronto, including our headquarters located on Bay Street, in the heart of the city’s Financial District! Two exciting initiatives in Toronto include our Centre for Cognitive Computing and the Technology Centre. Learn more about the top reasons our employees love working at TR in Toronto.
1. The location and the view
Two of our offices are located in downtown Toronto, both a short walk from Union Station, which makes it a perfect location for commuters. From either building, you have amazing views of downtown Toronto, especially from the Tech Centre on Bremner where you can see CN Tower, the Rogers Centre, and Lake Ontario.

5. Free snacks
Every morning, snacks are put out and employees race to the kitchen to get their hands on the fresh fruit, trail mix, chocolate-covered raisins and almonds to start their day off right. After lunch, the afternoon snacks are put out and there’s a mad dash to grab the chips, protein bars, and chocolate bars, and you can wash it all down with various drink choices including soda, iced tea, and fruity sparkling water.

8. The Toronto Technology Centre
The Thomson Reuters Toronto Technology Centre is made up of a team of scientists, engineers and designers focusing on the development of smart applications by applying and extending state of the art in natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, information retrieval, knowledge representation and reasoning, data mining, text analytics and human-computer interactions. In 2021, we’ll be moving our Toronto Technology Centre to Duncan Street and our office will feature a collaborative workplace environment designed to promote employee health and wellbeing. It will feature both formal and informal workspaces designed to enable a variety of working styles, supported by state-of-the-art technology, breakout spaces, exterior terraces and food service. The Centre’s amenities will include a café, health club, bicycle room and on-site concierge services.
9. TR Labs and our partnership with the University of Waterloo
In 2015, not far from Toronto, we opened our Waterloo Data and Innovation Lab, located in Communitech, an accelerator in the heart of the region's startup ecosystem. The Lab works closely with the University of Waterloo on research and leverages the school’s elite coop program to bring new ideas and new ways of thinking.
