Use the following list during Form 1099 data entry. The list includes every box on Form 1099 Nonemployee Compensation, and the location of the data in Accounting CS.

Amounts from checks with a date in 2020 or later will transfer to the 1099-NEC form automatically. Any checks with a 2019 or earlier date will transfer to the 1099-MISC.

Per the IRS general instructions for certain information returns, the account number may be a required field. Accounting CS adds a unique number to this field automatically for filing purposes.
