Shapes annotations

Pencil

Use the
Pencil
 Pencil icon annotation to draw annotations however you like. The
Pencil
 Pencil icon tool lets you draw lines in any shape using the selected color. However, you can modify the line's color, thickness, and opacity as necessary.
Place a drawn annotation

Eraser

Use the
Eraser
 tool Eraser icon to erase parts of the pencil annotation.

You can use the
Select text & annotation
 Select text & annotation icon tool to select all annotation pieces at once, then select
Delete
 from the shortcut menu.
Select the Eraser icon

Highlight area

If you want to highlight an area with or without text, use the 
Highlight Area
 Highlight Area icon annotation.
Draw the highlight area
