Bill Josten is the Director of Client Value and Commercial Strategy for Honigman, LLP, and Am Law 200 law firm.  In that role, Bill focuses on client needs, aligning the firm’s legal services with evolving client business objectives. Bill leverages deep market and commercial expertise to partner with firm leaders in developing client-focused, competitive service strategies.

Prior to joining Honigman, Bill was the Senior Manager of Enterprise Legal Thought Leadership for the Thomson Reuters Institute. Anything published by the Thomson Reuters Institute prior to September 2025 was written during Bill’s tenure at Thomson Reuters.  Nothing published under Bill’s byline necessarily reflects the views or opinions of Honigman, LLP or its attorneys.

In previous roles with Thomson Reuters, Bill worked as a senior legal analyst, in account management with several large law firms, and as a Reference Attorney. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, he was an attorney in private practice, an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and a clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
