Paul Marrinan is the Founder of Túath Consulting, a firm that focuses financial crime investigations and anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) involving cryptocurrencies.
During sixteen years in the public sector, Paul spent the majority of his career in international cooperation, specializing in financial crime, fugitives, anti-money laundering, intellectual property crime, and counter-terrorism investigation. While working on a major innovation project aimed at integrating Irish national systems with the rest of Europe, he worked with project development and design, with responsibility for Data Protection Impact Assessment and e-Learning.
In 2019, Paul graduated with a First-Class honors MSc in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation, and he has worked across the globe and collaborated with over 100 countries in the field of transnational law enforcement. In recent years he has worked with a range of startups in the financial crime compliance field, with a focus on blockchain analytics and cryptocurrencies. Paul has developed expertise in expanding on-chain intelligence via a range of processes, some of which he pioneered in the blockchain intelligence space.
