Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Earns Oracle Validated Status, Expanding on Availability for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP

Camillo Speroni  Head - Partnerships and Alliances, Thomson Reuters

Back in June, we took a big step with Oracle: three ONESOURCE solutions – indirect tax determination, e-invoicing, and compliance reporting, became natively available inside Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.  The availability represented a meaningful shift for organizations running Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, because it meant these tax and compliance workflows could be addressed within an ERP environment, rather than through separate systems and integrations.

Today, we’re building on that momentum.

Across the tax, finance, and IT leaders we talk with, the same problem keeps coming up: compliance keeps getting more complex, and the tools they use don’t live where their transactions happen.

Indirect tax rules shift across jurisdictions. E-invoicing requirements continue to evolve. Return preparation and filing pile up across multiple regions. Even with the progress we made in June, we knew there was more we could do to make these capabilities easier to find, evaluate, and activate.

What’s new

Today, all three ONESOURCE solutions are listed on Oracle Marketplace, giving organizations running Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP one place to discover, purchase, and activate tools across the full indirect tax lifecycle, from real-time tax calculation and e-invoicing compliance to return preparation and filing. They have also achieved Oracle Validated status for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

I’m excited about what this means for our customers. Teams across tax, finance, and IT are working hard to stay compliant without adding more systems to manage. With these solutions now available inside the ERP environment they already run, we can help them do that, and we’re looking forward to growing this work with Oracle and our customers.

What this changes for customers

With all three solutions now on Oracle Marketplace, customers can more easily discover and acquire ONESOURCE capabilities designed for use with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.  That’s a meaningful shift from how most organizations have historically approached tax and compliance technology.

Breaking down what each piece does:

  1. ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination calculates sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and excise tax in real time as transactions move through Oracle Fusion. Thomson Reuters maintains the underlying tax content, and it’s applied automatically through a preconfigured Oracle integration, helping reduce the need for customers to manually track individual tax-rate changes.
  2. ONESOURCE Pagero E-Invoicing supports compliant AP/AR invoice exchange, status tracking, and exception management for workflows within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, connecting customers with tax authorities, government platforms, trading partners, and e-invoicing networks to help address applicable e-invoicing requirements.
  3. ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance connects Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transaction and tax data to return preparation, validation, reconciliation, and filing, helping organizations address U.S., Canadian, and global reporting requirements.

Together, the three solutions workflows spanning tax determination, e-invoicing, and indirect tax reporting and filing, in connection with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

Built on a relationship that goes back further than most people realize

This announcement is another step forward, not a first one. Thomson Reuters has been an Oracle partner since the release of Oracle E-Business Suite 10- since 1995. A relationship that long predates my time here, and one I’m proud we’re continuing to grow.

Oracle account teams, systems integrators, and customers now have one place, the Oracle Marketplace, to find ONESOURCE capabilities. They no longer have to search for the solutions separately.

Dan Haller, SVP of North America Alliances and Strategic Partners at Oracle, sees the same shift, “Organizations modernizing with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP need access to solutions that help them manage increasingly complex global requirements. Through Oracle Marketplace, Thomson Reuters is making it easier for customers to discover solutions that support tax determination, e-invoicing, and compliance as part of their broader transformation initiatives.”

Why I think this matters right now

If you’re leading a Tax, Finance, or IT function inside an organization running Oracle, the practical upside can include fewer separate systems and less custom integration work for your team. Thomson Reuters maintains and updates the underlying tax content as requirements change, helping reduce the need for teams to track those changes manually. The solutions can also support organizations as their indirect tax and e-invoicing requirements expand across jurisdictions.

That’s the outcome we started building toward in June, and I’m glad to see it show up now as something as concrete as a Marketplace listing.
