Thomson Reuters Launches Online Legal and Business Forms Resource for Accounting Firms

DEXTER, Mich – Thomson Reuters today announced the launch of a new, optional NetClient CS module — Legal and Business Forms, powered by LegalStreet. This easy-to-use online library of legal and business forms is tailored for tax and accounting professionals' engagements with business owners. Legal and Business Forms was developed in partnership with LegalStreet, which is part of the Thomson Reuters Legal business.

The new module contains basic forms that are routinely needed during the course of accounting firms' engagements with their business clients — including simple contracts and lease agreements, promissory notes, human resources documentation, and other general business and legal compliance forms. The resource is designed to help tax and accounting professionals ensure their business clients are in compliance with increasingly complex tax and legal requirements.

Using Legal and Business Forms via their secure and private NetClient CS portals, accounting firms' clients will be presented with an easy-to-use tool that guides them through the completion of basic forms. Copies of completed forms are made available to the accounting firm through NetClient CS. Firms can also use the tool to complete the forms on behalf of the client.

"Today's entrepreneurs rely on trusted professionals to keep their businesses running smoothly," said Scott Fleszar, Vice President of Product Management with the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. "The ability to access Legal and Business Forms via NetClient CS offers clients the flexibility to complete forms conveniently, securely, and accurately – all within the context of their established relationships with tax and accounting professionals."

It is common for business owners to use online do-it-yourself legal form options as needs arise. With this new offering, Thomson Reuters is leveraging existing tools developed in our Legal business to help tax and accounting professionals direct their business clients to a secure resource for business and legal forms. This enables firms to become more full-service, to provide more comprehensive offerings to engage their business clients, and to retain copies of completed legal and business forms within NetClient CS.
