WestlawNext Adds Alert Management Center

Administrators can manage alerts, create and share content through newsletters

EAGAN, Minn. – Thomson Reuters today announced the addition of the Alert Management Center on WestlawNext®, the legal market’s leading online legal research service. While WestlawNext customers commonly use alerts to stay apprised of developments that impact their work, administrators can now manage an entire organization’s alerts through the Alert Management Center, which is fully integrated with WestlawNext.

“An essential feature of the Alert Management Center allows administrators the ability to customize and moderate newsletters. They can reorder the results, remove specific documents and add comments to results prior to delivery, enabling recipients to benefit from additional insight and analysis,” said Jill Roisum, senior director of Product Development at Thomson Reuters.

Seamless authentication, a popular feature within the Alert Management Center, allows users to access alert results without having to remember their login credentials, no matter where they’re working. “Seamless authentication makes it easier for all recipients to access the latest information through their mobile device, and the administrator can feel confident the organization is receiving the alerts needed to stay informed and competitive,” added Roisum.

Additional key administrative features include the ability to edit multiple alerts at one time, create alerts on behalf of others, customize newsletters with logos, and access alert reports. Within the alert reports, administrators can see all the alerts within the organization, monitor who may have the most alerts, view alerts by category, type, client ID and more.
