Get to know Women at Thomson Reuters business resource group

Welcome to our forum that aims to foster the inclusion and advancement of our Women at Thomson Reuters talent as well as to celebrate diversity across the community and culture of the organization.
Overview of Women at Thomson Reuters
Women at Thomson Reuters is an employee-led business resource group that is committed to creating awareness and understanding of the diverse backgrounds and experiences represented at Thomson Reuters and in our communities.
Our mission is to drive positive change, inspiring others to promote women as equal partners in the success, achievement and profitability of the business. We seek to champion women by supporting professional growth and development, expanding networks internally and throughout our communities, increasing allyship and driving awareness of the unconscious biases that fuel gender inequality.
With an organization as vast as Thomson Reuters, connecting with employees across different locations and functions can enable a better understanding of how the company works and visibility of the talent that powers business results and supports our customers.
We offer global programs and local events that are open to everyone at Thomson Reuters.
- Allyship Community: Our Allyship Community explores the role of an ally, aims to increase allyship across the organization, drives awareness of unconscious biases that fuel gender inequality and supports professional growth and development of our people. We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to help people learn about microaggressions and biases through interactive workshops and scenario discussions.
- #IamRemarkable Workshops: #IAR is a Google initiative empowering women and underrepresented groups to speak openly about their accomplishments in the workplace and beyond, thereby breaking modesty norms and glass ceilings. Thomson Reuters offers a slate of #IAR workshops throughout the year delivered by trained internal employees who are looking to make a difference and promote confidence building with their colleagues.
- Earnings Call Recaps. Each quarter, our Women at Thomson Reuters business resource group hosts an in-depth conversation with Thomson Reuters business leaders to break down our business strategy and financial results plus hear what investors had to say about our earnings release. This provides a unique development opportunity for our people to build their business and financial acumen and understand how their work supports the company and our customers.
- Catalyst Partnership: Thomson Reuters is honored to partner with Catalyst, a global non-profit focused on building workplaces that work for women. Through this partnership, our BRGs are able to access research, data and tools to advance diversity and inclusion efforts across the organization. We work with  other business resource groups at Thomson Reuters to elevate our collective effectiveness and share best practices via learning experiences with other organizations.
- Aspire to Lead Conference: Since 2012, the Women at Thomson Reuters business resource group has sponsored the Aspire to Lead Conference (driven by our Minneapolis/St Paul chapter but now with virtual options). Aspire to Lead brings together powerful speakers, skill-building workshops and networking opportunities that inspires women and allies to lead with confidence in their profession and communities. It is a signature program for our BRG and continuously receives positive feedback from leaders and employees across the company.
- Local Chapter Offerings: Women at Thomson Reuters is the largest business resource group at Thomson Reuters with 23 local chapters represented across all regions of the world. Local chapters create engaging experiences and ignite discussion on topics that are relevant to women in their region, foster mentoring & connection-building locally and curate volunteer experiences in their communities.
